Our day program runs Monday-Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Our evening program runs Monday-Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
After completing our massage program, you will receive a certificate of completion that qualifies you to take the Massage and Bodywork Licensing Examination (MBLEx). You will receive a diploma and transcripts on the last day of class if all criteria of catalog is met and tuition is paid in full.
Massage therapists are in high demand, and our graduates enter into a field with plenty of opportunities. While we can't guarantee placement, we do have strong ties with respected employers, including Woodhouse Spa, where Synergy graduates get priority consideration.
Currently, the day program takes about 5 months and the evening program takes about 10 months. Beginning in January, Louisiana Board of Regents is increasing the minimum required hours from 500 to 625. We expect this will increase the duration of the program by a couple of months.
For the remainder of 2026 the cost of tuition will be $7,500. In January, Louisiana State Board of Regents will increase our minimum required hours and tuition will increase to $10,000 per semester.
Synergy is licensed by the Louisiana State Board of Regents and is an approved program to approve students for state licensure. We've chosen a small class model focused on hands-on training and personalized education. Because of our boutique model, we chose not to participate in federal financial aid programs. We are approved to accepted veteran educational benefits.
The State Board of Massage Therapy requires a high school diploma or GED to sit for MBLEx.
We do offer payment plans. Tuition can be paid upfront or monthly. Full tuition must be paid prior to receiving transcripts at the end of the program.
Yes, we have been approved by the VA to accept these benefits for educational purposes.
Synergy has a partnership with Woodhouse Spa.
Woodhouse periodically offers partial or full scholarships in exchange for an employment contract upon graduation. Please email us if you are interested in this opportunity and include the Woodhouse location you are interested in working — Slidell, Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Metairie, or Mandeville.
You will be required to purchase black scrubs for class. There is also a fee to take the state exam after gradation. The current cost of that state exam is $265 and paid directly to the federation.
We ask that you begin by sending an email or text to request a tour. If you choose to apply, the program director will let you know if you are approved or waitlisted. If approved, you will then need to Venmo a deposit of $250 to @synergymassageinstitute. This will be applied towards tuition. We will not hold a spot until application is accepted by the program director and deposit is paid.
Synergy must adhere to Louisiana State Board of Regents required attendance policy. This policy is strictly enforced to meet state standards, and consistent attendance is essential.
